Talk Business polled 1,167 statewide voters regarding their preference in the Democratic preferential primary for U.S. Senator. The results:
38% Blanche Lincoln
31% Bill Halter
10% D.C. Morrison
20% Undecided
The margin of error is +/- 3%, which means that we can only just barely say with any certainty that voters prefer Lincoln to Halter. (See this post for an explanation.) The 20% undecided struck me as a surprisingly high number, too, given how polarizing this race seems to be; I can’t think of a single person I know who doesn’t have strong feelings for one candidate or the other.
Also of note in this poll is that it was conducted by Zata3, a Washington D.C.-based Democrat-aligned polling firm. The polls for AR-House races that were released last week were conducted by The Political Firm, which raised some eyebrows due to the firm’s ties to Gilbert Baker.
