AR-Sen: Boozman Not A Fan Of Jobs, Tax Breaks, or Infrastructure

At least that’s what his vote on today’s HIRE Act would indicate.

The HIRE Act passed the House today, no thanks to Reps. Mark Kirk of Illinois, Roy Blunt of Missouri, Michael Castle of Delaware, and John Boozman of Arkansas.

Each of these would-be Senators voted against the job creation package.

The bipartisan bill, has four key provisions including a payroll tax holiday for businesses to encourage hiring, additional funds to help small businesses expand, an extension of the Highway Trust Fund to allow more infrastructure investments, and an expansion of the Build America Bonds program to allow states finance infrastructure projects.

Seriously, John, you don’t think Arkansas could benefit from this bill?  I realize that your “no” vote was more for purposes of differentiating yourself from Lincoln, because heaven knows it’s generally hard to tell her from your run-of-the-mill Republican, but maybe you could at least pretend to put the people of Arkansas above your own ambitions just this once.
