I almost let this slip through the cracks, but Blake Rutherford reports that Joyce Elliott raised $123,000 in 1Q fundraising. Elliott was, of course, the last of the AR-02 Democratic candidates to release her total, and the number places her squarely in the middle of the pack.
Even granting that David Boling has the built-in support of much of Vic Snyder’s base, I have to think that the third-place finish was a bit disappointing. Most estimates I saw had Elliot over the $200,000 mark. With Robbie Wills posting over $300,000, this could be a problem for Elliott, especially if the vote goes to a run-off, which it almost certainly will.
