Discussing Democratic candidate for Land Commissioner L.J. Bryant’s commercial a couple days ago, I wrote:
I like the commercial; it’s straight-forward, well-done, does not mention Bryant’s opponents by name, and takes a stance on something that most voters would naturally agree with. The “Transparency” and “Advanced Technology” graphics were well-placed, too, in my opinion. The only problem I saw with the ad was “Lobbyist” instead of “Lobbyists,” but that’s not the end of the world (and is much, much better than, say, “Lobbyist’s” or a random country singer in the middle of the ad).
Voila!
One of the big reasons that BHR endorsed Bryant was his willingness to listen to people and his openness to good ideas. This change of his commercial is a perfect example of that trait. If Bryant’s plan of modernizing the Land Commissioner’s office isn’t enough for you, his willingness to make changes where changes need to be made should be.
